The Girls Rocked it at The Winter Bouldering League

Hundreds of people descend on Liverpool’s Climbing Hanger for the start of the North West Winter Bouldering League. Plenty of girls of all ages, as well as boys, came out to take on 30 problems and they were challenging! For the most advanced you needed to hold your nerve while you had to do the splits and jump.

The competitors enjoyed music from DJ Kenny Strange, and they were fed with Aberdeen Angus and wildboar burgers. The Liverpool Brewery provided the beer. The atmosphere was laid back, chilled and everyone was having a good time.  Many people were testing their skills to the max with many attempting climbs they would normally not attempt.

The winner of the Ladies competition was Kylie Jones with 870 points. Ian Wright won the Men’s competition with 1405 points. Emily Berry took the top spot in the Juniors and Mandy White came first in the Senior women’s competition.

We caught up with owner of the Climbing Hanger Ged and some of the girls rocking it at this years first Winter Bourldering League session.
